This is a brief tutorial of how to create a work Google Chrome profile with your WQSB account.

1. This is a brief tutorial of how to create a work Google Chrome profile using your WQSB account.

The first step is to click Type here to search.

2. Type in the word Chrome.

3. Click Google Chrome App.

4. This will open the Google Chrome browser. One of the key features of modern browsers is the ability to switch between personal and work profiles.

To sign into Chrome with your WQSB account, click the profile icon in the top-right corner.

5. Click + Add.

6. Type the name you would like for your work Google Chrome profile.

7. Choose a temporary logo and decide if you would like a desktop shortcut created.

Click Add.

8. Click Already a Chrome user? Sign in.

9. Click and enter your full @wqsb.qc.ca email address.

10. Click Next.

11. Click and enter your full @wqsb.qc.ca email address one more time.

12. Click and enter your WQSB password. This is the password to access both your computer and your email.

13. Click Sign in.

14. If this is your own computer, you can save your login credentials into the Chrome password manager. This a safe and secure tool allowing you to access your saved passwords anywhere you sign in with your WQSB Chrome profile.

Click Save.

15. If this is your own device, click Yes to stay signed in.

If using a public device, DO NOT store passwords or enable stay signed in.

16. Confirm you have logged in with the proper WQSB email address, then click Continue.

17. Click Link data to enable saved passwords, bookmarks, and browsing history anywhere that you sign in with your WQSB Chrome profile.

18. Click Yes, I'm in to synchronize bookmarks, browsing history, and saved passwords to this device.

19. Click on the profile icon in the top-right corner.

20. Notice how you are now signed into Chrome with your WQSB account.

21. The green arrow symbols show that your information is synchronizing properly. If you see a yellow of red icon, click here to re-enter your credentials and resume sync.

22. You can view saved passwords by clicking on the key icon.

23. You can switch between profiles by clicking on the corresponding name under Other people. Manage your profiles by clicking on the cog icon.

When browsing for work ensure you are in your work profile and viceversa. Both can be open simultaneously.

24. Now that you are signed into a managed browser, you will see the WQSB Chrome bookmarks folder appear.

Click WQSB.

25. Here you can see you have one-click shortcuts to many regularly used WQSB sites including Office 365, Google GSuite, the HelpDesk, the Virtual library, and more.

Click Office 365.

26. Notice how you are brought directly to the Office 365 homepage without needing to sign in, as you are now browsing in your WQSB Chrome profile linked to your accounts.

That's it, you're done!
